effects of lighting
Direct Window Light Color/Look- The colors are very warm and bright. Mood- I think that the mood of this photo seems happy hopeful. The window light provides a warm bright sense to the picture without it being too dramatic and harsh. The window filters the light and makes it a little more subtle
Indirect Window Light Color/Look- The color of the photo is more dark and neutral. The look is also not as bright and happy compared to the previous photo. Mood- The mood of this photo is a little more intense. Since the light isn't directly on the subject it looks more dark and dramatic.
Single Light Source Color/Look- The look is bright and the colors are warm for the photo. The subject is clearly lit and the tones are very calm and nothing too harsh. Mood- The mood is very warm and calming. There are no harshly lit areas that make the photo dramatic.
Direct Single Light Source Color/Look- The color of the photo would probably have been very clear and bright in certain areas. The look of the photo is very classic and simple. Mood- The direct light source creates a dramatic effect on the subject of the photo.
Direct Outdoor Light Color/Look- The unfiltered light creates a very saturated and bright photo. The colors are vibrant and the overall look of the photo is happy. Mood- The mood is very happy and welcoming because the direct light creates saturated colors and nothing is really highlighted in the photo.
Outdoor Filtered Light Color/Look- The filtered light creates a very warm and yellowish color in the photo. The look is also very welcoming. Mood- I think that it is welcoming and relaxed. The indirect light is like a warm tone and is very subtle and does not light one part more than another.
Fluorescent Light Color/Look- The color is very blue tinted. The look of the photo is very sad and mundane. Mood- The mood is very cold and industrial. The blue tint kind of makes the photo more depressing and disconnected from a brighter and warmer photo.
Incandescent Light Color/Look- The lights create an orange and overly warm color and look to the photo. Mood- The mood is welcoming and warm. The orange light makes the photo more warm and since it is so well lit it is more welcoming than a single light source photo.
Flash Photography Color/Look- I feel like the flash washes out all of the color from the photo. They are more subtle than they would have been. Mood-The mood created is hard to distinguish. It is kinda like they are trying too hard to have a warm photo but the flash washes it out and makes it kind of distant
